About
It is a privilege to be able to paint outside in nature, chasing the light and atmosphere of a moment in time, portraying this in oils is exciting and challenging. Equally inspiring is finding beauty in quiet inside spaces; an orchestrated still life or a random collection of objects on the kitchen windowsill. There is always something new to learn in the practice of oil painting, from developing traditional techniques to leaving caution to the wind and using paint and colour to freely express a response to a subject.
